BAND DESIGN
The band on the World Cup 2026 is a blue-ish purple with gold accents, over colored hexagons that are reminiscent of the ones stitched on soccer balls. Those colored hexagons (red, black, gold, yellow, light blue, and dark blue) are also found on a large sleeve on the foot of the cigar. It would not be an understatement to say that the World Cup 2026 will be easily noticed in any humidor.
PRE-LIGHT OBSERVATIONS
CONSTRUCTION
Underneath the foot sleeve is a dark looking Mexican San Andrés wrapper. It is rough to the touch and has quite a bit of tooth to it. The oil on the dark, rich wrapper has a nice sheen to it. The wrapper looks near flawless on each World Cup 2026 smoked for this review.Â
AROMA
The wrapper smells of tobacco, musty earth, and Cedar. The foot gives off notes of sweet tobacco, earth, fruit, and barnyard.
COLD DRAW
The cold draw reveals notes of herbs, saltines, fruitiness, and sweet tobacco.
SMOKING EXPERIENCE
LIGHT & DRAW
Cut: S.T. Dupont x Fender Cutter/Stand
Fire: S.T. Dupont x Fender Ligne 2 Lacquered Lighter
The initial light pops with notes of chocolate pepper, baking spices, fruit, and bread. The retrohale is black pepper. Big notes of cayenne, salted nuts, and a herbaceousness linger on my palate.
SMOKE
The smoke is thick, plentiful, and a bit on the dry side. It does coat my palate and has a pleasant mouthfeel.
FIRST THIRD
>> Chocolate, Fruit, Black Pepper
The first third of the LE World Cup 2026 begins with notes of chocolate, salted nuts, pepper, and a vegetal quality. Red pepper claws at the back of my throat. The spice lingers on the finish. Black pepper rules the retrohale. Wood and nuts seem to dominate as chocolate fills in the spaces. The burn line is razor sharp. The ash is compact, gray in color with streaks of black. A hint of fruit starts to come through, as milk chocolate and nuts take over the profile. Bread, salt, and herbaceousness float in the background. Fruity sweetness comes and goes. The retrohale is exquisite.
SECOND THIRD
>> Coffee, Fig, Baking Spices
The middle third begins with rich notes of coffee, fig, wood, leather, and salt. Baking spices and pepper round things out. The retrohale is black pepper and baking spices. The World Cup’s flavors are well-balanced up to this point, as the flavors melt together and jockey for dominance. The smoke continues to be more dry than creamy, but still satisfying. Buttered toast, nuts, and a hint of anise come through. There’s an earthiness that’s beginning to overtake the fruit note. The burn line is still razor sharp and the ash is compact. The World Cup is definitely full flavored with a medium profile. A herbaceousness has been consistent throughout. Avocado oil, coffee, nuts, wood, earth, and pepper. The sweetness is still there, but it is lurking in the undertow of flavors.
FINAL THIRD
>> Earth, Espresso, Charred Wood
The final third begins with big notes of black tea, charred wood, leather, anise, cayenne pepper, nuts, and fruit. The earthiness has jumped in intensity, too. Nuts, caramel, and butter round out the flavors. The burn continues to be immaculate. The ash remains compact and beautiful. The smoke is now creamy and still abundant. Salted nuts and charred wood linger on the finish. Espresso, charred wood, salted almonds, caramel, and earth. Big notes of baking spices and pepper start to come through. Butter, fruit, and earth round out the final third.
RATING & FINAL THOUGHTS
FLAVOR PROGRESSION
The Oz Family Cigars Limited Edition World Cup 2026 has a very well-balanced flavor progression. Nothing seems out of place and every flavor works well together. Savory, sweet, and earthy with notes of fruit and butter that round out the earth, spice, and pepper notes.
BURN EXPERIENCE
The burn was incredible on all three cigars smoked for this review. I never had to touchup or relight any of them. The ash was always compact and beautiful.

GOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!!
The Oz Family Cigars Limited Edition World Cup 2026 may seem like a gimmick at first glance. Yes, it has tobaccos from five different World Cup qualifying countries, but it also has Nicaraguan tobacco. Sweet and savory, spicy and smooth. The World Cup 2026 is well-balanced from light to nub…and you will nub this cigar. Chocolate, earth, caramel, bread, wood, coffee, herbaceousness, and butter. The Oz Family Cigars Limited Edition World Cup 2026 is more than a gimmick. It is a serious cigar that celebrates the most popular sport in the world. I would highly recommend you pick up a box or two before they’re gone.
