During the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, I had the pleasure of speaking with Greg Park, Vice President of Sales and Operations at Vector KGM. Our conversation covered several exciting new products the company unveiled at the event. You can watch my full discussion with Greg on YouTube. One standout from their lineup was the THOR single-flame torch lighter, designed to provide everything a cigar enthusiast needs to enjoy a full day’s worth of cigars—whether at home, in the lounge, or on the go.

PRODUCT DESIGN
A quick internet search of “all-in-one cigar lighters” reveals several comparable options, but a few design choices set the Vector THOR apart. Rather than using dual or triple jets, the THOR employs a single torch, prioritizing fuel efficiency while maintaining reliable ignition in typical lounge and outdoor conditions. Notably, the rotating V-cutter is mounted externally on the lighter’s body, a layout that improves grip and leverage during the cut and may also preserve internal space for a larger fuel reservoir. The punch is integrated around the refill valve in a conventional placement, while a built-in poker/roach clip is positioned opposite the V-cutter to keep essential tools accessible without adding bulk.
OBSERVATIONS
CONSTRUCTION
The Vector THOR all-in-one lighter weighs approximately 6.75 oz when filled with butane and presents a solid, confidence-inspiring build that feels durable in hand. Its hinged lid, which doubles as a textured cigar rest, opens and closes with smooth, controlled motion, providing both functional stability on a tabletop and protective coverage for the jet when closed. The integrated poker/roach clip is housed on the underside and requires deliberate effort to deploy, an intentional tension that helps prevent accidental drops during carry or use. The built-in punch is positioned concentrically around the refill valve in a conventional layout and operates as expected for quick, clean cuts without adding bulk to the profile.
Let’s explore the lighter, rotating V-cutter, and warranty in more detail below.
The Lighter
The THOR employs a single jet torch that toasts and lights cigars quickly and evenly, balancing heat concentration with fuel efficiency for reliable performance in lounges or outdoor settings. The ignition mechanism offers a reassuring, precise actuation with well-judged spring tension, promoting confident one-handed use without feeling stiff or spongy. After extended, routine use, ignition remains consistent and repeatable, with no misfires or flame irregularities observed. Additionally, the adjustable flame allows fine control for delicate toasting or faster, direct ignition, complementing the lighter’s wind-resistant jet and overall durability.
Rotating V-Cut
While the rotating V-cutter is thoughtfully positioned and generally well-executed, two minor concerns merit attention. When stowed, it relies on small magnets to hold the cutter securely against the body; with extended use, those body-side magnets may loosen or detach, requiring re-seating or adhesive to restore proper retention, otherwise the cutter can drift during handling. In addition, the rotation mechanism exhibits a preference for counterclockwise movement; although it will rotate a full 360 degrees in either direction, repeatedly spinning it through full rotations can introduce slight play at the hinge.
Warranty
Vector KGM’s “No Proof Warranty” is intentionally simple and customer-friendly. Customers may send a damaged product in a padded mailer with their contact information to the warranty address provided in the product materials, and the service team will handle the rest. Full instructions, coverage details, and contact information are available on Vector’s website for easy reference.
RATING & FINAL THOUGHTS
PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
After five months of regular use, the Vector THOR has maintained day-one performance across ignition, flame stability, and tool deployment, with no misfires or inconsistencies during lighting sessions. The single jet continues to produce a focused, wind-resistant flame, and the actuation remains crisp with well-balanced tension for confident one-handed operation. The rotating V-cutter has shown the most visible wear relative to other components, but it continues to function as intended, maintaining clean cuts without affecting overall usability.
REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE
In real-world use, the THOR has become a dependable daily carry that consolidates the essentials and eliminates the need for separate tools. The single-jet torch lights consistently and cleanly, while the integrated rotating V-cutter, punch, and poker cover most scenarios—from a quick lounge session to travel—without adding bulk. The V-cutter can still handle torpedoes effectively with a shallow, controlled cleft. The net effect is a streamlined kit that reduces pocket clutter and speeds up the pre-light routine without compromising performance.

COMPLIMENTS & CRITIQUES
- Large tank that does last through multiple cigars
- All-in-one provides everything you need to enjoy a cigar
- The rotating V-Cutter is held in place when not in use by small magnets that may fall out and get lost
A Daily Carry Upgrade.
The Vector THOR is a true all-in-one solution—single jet torch, rotating V-cutter, punch, poker, fuel window, and cigar-rest lid—in a durable, ergonomic package that streamlines everyday carry without sacrificing performance. The wind-resistant single jet lights consistently and adjusts precisely, while the external rotating V-cutter provides confident grip and clean cuts, backed by a no‑proof warranty for added peace of mind at a competitive $75 MSRP. Minor drawbacks—such as potential long-term wear at the rotating cutter interface and user preference for multi-jet flames—keep it shy of a perfect score, but its feature density, reliability, and portability make it a standout value for daily use.
